Marcia Brandt is a lifetime lover of books. She shares books with students and teachers regularly through her position as a K-8 Library Media Specialist. A member of the Rebecca Caudill Young Readers’ Book Award steering committee, she regularly presents at conferences and library system meetings around Illinois. A school library professional since 1981, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science Education from Illinois State University (1981) and a Master’s in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois (2008). Don’t ask her about the latest adult novel, however, for she rarely strays from children or young adult literature.
